Kentucky Lacrosse Foundation Grant Program

Supporting the Growth of Lacrosse Across Kentucky

The Kentucky Lacrosse Foundation is committed to growing the game from the ground up by helping schools and communities launch and strengthen youth and middle school lacrosse programs. Through our grant program, we provide funding and resources that help remove barriers to participation and create sustainable opportunities for future players.

By investing in local programs, we are helping build a stronger future for lacrosse throughout the Commonwealth.

Who We Support

Grant funding is available to organizations and communities working to expand access to lacrosse, including:

  • Public schools looking to start youth or middle school lacrosse programs

  • Communities without existing access to the sport

  • Coaches, school administrators, and local leaders introducing lacrosse to new players

  • Emerging programs seeking resources to become sustainable and grow participation

Our focus is on creating long-term opportunities for student-athletes while strengthening the overall lacrosse landscape across Kentucky.

What Grant Funding May Support

Grant funds may be used to help offset the costs associated with launching and developing new programs, including:

  • Starter equipment kits, including sticks, goals, balls, and training equipment

  • Initial program startup and operational expenses

  • Coaching education and development resources

  • Practice plans, curriculum materials, and organizational support

  • Resources that help establish sustainable program structures

These investments help schools and communities overcome common barriers to introducing the sport.

Building Programs for the Future

The Kentucky Lacrosse Foundation plans to begin awarding grants during its first year of operation, with an initial focus on supporting youth and middle school programs that serve as a foundation for long-term player development.

As funding grows through donations, sponsorships, and fundraising events, we will expand our ability to support additional schools, communities, and emerging programs throughout Kentucky.

Why It Matters

The future of lacrosse depends on strong local programs and accessible opportunities for young athletes. By helping schools and communities establish sustainable youth and middle school programs, we can introduce more players to the game, strengthen high school participation, and continue growing lacrosse across the state.

Your support helps bring lacrosse to new communities and creates opportunities for the next generation of players.
